About Us
Sara Schley and Joe Laur created Seed Systems an international consulting company in 1994. Seed Systems uses systems inquiry while working with individuals, teams, organizations, and networks to transform organizations and create a sustainable world. Sara has worked in business, non-profit, government and academic sectors; creating, designing, facilitating, teaching and coaching leadership programs and culture change initiatives for a sustainable world.
With Seed Systems as incubator for innovation, Sara is the co-creator of the SoL Sustainability Consortium, a network of companies and major corporations including Nike, Shell, Ford, WorldBank, Interface and many more, challenging each other to create best practices in the field.
Sara is the co-author of The Necessary Revolution: How Individuals and Organizations are Working Together to Create a Sustainable World and Learning for Sustainability.

The work that Seed Systems did with Nike helped set us on a journey of sustainability from which there is no return. A decade later the impacts of the program still resonate deeply within the organization and within the individuals who became true agents of change. The result of this intensive work helped transform Nike's approach to sustainability, created 100 internal champions who launched dozens of landmark projects that continue to deliver against our then stated 2020 goals and influence the work around the world. It's amazing how powerful the legacy has been.
